Chris H.
Chris is a certified personal trainer with a unique background in law enforcement. He specializes in functional fitness, exercise therapy, athletic training, and self-defense. Chris is passionate about using his experience to help people achieve their fitness goals and improve their quality of life.
Chris's fitness journey began in high school, but really expanded when he began his career in law enforcement. He quickly realized that physical fitness was crucial to his job, and he began to develop a passion for fitness. Chris's approach to fitness is based on functional movements that mimic real-life activities. He believes that fitness should improve your ability to perform daily tasks, not just help you look good.
Chris is also certified in exercise therapy, which means he can design exercise programs to help people with injuries or chronic conditions. He has helped many people recover from injuries, manage chronic pain, and improve their mobility and flexibility.

Terry's extensive background in healthcare, martial arts, and personal training has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to prepare individuals for any situation that life may bring. With over 30 years of experience in various martial arts disciplines, including Taekwondo, Shotokan, Fustyle Taichi, Bagua, and Judo, Terry has competed and won a National Championship in Taichi. She has also been a certified personal trainer for several years and is a licensed massage therapist and health educator.
In addition to her martial arts and personal training expertise, Terry has a strong background in healthcare. She worked as an intensive care nurse, trained critical care nurses, and ran multiple community health and wellness programs. Terry has also led a crisis prevention program for a healthcare system, which involved early recognition of dangerous situations, de-escalation of emerging aggressive behaviors and physical control, and personal safety.
Terry's passion lies in training individuals to have the confidence, mental resilience, and physical ability to handle unexpected challenges in life, whether it's defending against someone with road rage, calming an aggressive patient, or surviving an illness like cancer. Her dedication to helping people be prepared for any situation is reflected in her approach to personal training and self-defense instruction.

She is passionate about helping her clients reach their fitness goals and enjoys building strong relationships with them. Leigh-Ann also specializes in functional fitness training and is always eager to assist and guide her clients on their fitness journey. Her friendly demeanor and positive attitude make her a favorite among clients. She looks forward to meeting new clients and building special bonds with them. Paula is a highly accomplished and passionate member of the CAPA team, with a diverse background that includes over 19 years of experience in county government, as well as a successful career as a certified paralegal.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Paula is also a skilled horse jumper and a pageant coach, helping her daughter, Natasha, achieve her dream of becoming Miss Ohio USA in 2009. But it was her passion for functional fitness that brought her to CAPA in 2019, and she quickly became one of our most dedicated and committed members.
Today, Paula is a certified Fighter Fit instructor, specializing in striking fundamentals, private sessions, and private group sessions. She's also Weapon Brand certified in Self Defense Levels 1, 2, 3, Ground Level 1 and 2, and Knife attacks, making her an invaluable member of our team when it comes to teaching self-defense skills.

Jamey is a passionate and dedicated member of the CAPA family, joining us in 2019 and immediately diving headfirst into our wide variety of classes and programs. He's participated in Fighter Fit classes, Kettle Bell classes, Boot Camps, Kickboxing, and more, constantly pushing himself to improve and excel in his fitness journey.
Jamey is also a highly respected coach, leading our Boot Camps and stepping in to help out when other trainers are unavailable. His enthusiasm and positive attitude are contagious, and he's always there to motivate and inspire his fellow CAPA members.
In addition to his dedication to fitness, Jamey is also a minister, providing a unique perspective and a listening ear to anyone who needs support. He's always available to chat with members who may be struggling with anxiety or life's challenges, offering guidance and a compassionate ear.
Jamey's commitment to both physical and mental well-being make him an invaluable member of the CAPA community, and we're grateful to have him as part of our team.

Ross is a dedicated Corrections Sergeant for the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office and also serves as the Merchandise Manager for Combat Athlete Performance Academy. With a passion for fitness and a desire to bring positive energy to the CAPA community, Ross is a valuable member of the team.
Ross's extensive background in sports extends all the way to the collegiate level in football, where he honed his skills and developed a deep appreciation for strength and weight training. With over 30 years of experience in this field, Ross is a true expert when it comes to helping people achieve their fitness goals.
When he's not working or training at CAPA, Ross loves spending time with his beautiful wife Jeigh and their furry children, which include two cats and two dogs. His positive attitude, dedication, and expertise make him a valuable member of both the CAPA and Trumbull County Sheriff's Office communities.

As one of the youngest members of the team, he is currently a teacher's assistant with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center, where he works to support and inspire young minds.
When he's not working, Stephen can often be found indulging his passions for golf, Jiu Jitsu, and boxing. In 2019, he joined the Combat Athlete Performance Academy, where he has found some of the best self-defense experiences of his life. Stephen is impressed by the down-to-earth staff and members at CAPA, and he's passionate about keeping the facility clean and hygienic.
You'll often find Stephen hard at work in the Snake Pit and mat room, cleaning and disinfecting the sweat left behind after a class. His commitment to cleanliness and hygiene helps keep the CAPA community safe and healthy, and his positive attitude and dedication make him a valuable member of the team.
